Pioneer Unveils Slim, Sleek & Powerful Range Of AV Receivers

Slender and chic yet packed with stellar features and energy saving capabilities, the new Pioneer Slim AV Receivers inject instant style and performance to your living room

Singapore, 11 October 2011 - Pioneer announces the launch of its slimmest range of Audio Visual (AV) Receivers to-date - the VSX-S500-K and the VSX-S300-K. Breaking the bulky mold of traditional Receivers, both new products measure only 85mm in height and 317mm in depth. While compact in size, these showpieces are big in features, high in flexibility and superior in sound quality.

Downsizing the products allows the Receivers to fit within slim audio/TV racks and creates precious space at the back of the equipment. This means you no longer have to arduously cram cables and wires into a small gap. Instead, you will have ample room to make your TV rack look neat and tidy, and your room clutter-free and stylish.

Apart from their attractive form factor, the VSX-S500-K and the VSX-S300-K give the same first-class performance that Pioneer Receivers have been renowned for.

Well-connected via HDMI

Both Receivers are outfitted with state-of-the-art HDMI connections including 4 inputs, and 1 output, with 3D and ARC support so that you can get the most out of your system.

Quality Class D sound

Claim audio quality the way you like it with the VSX-S500-K and the VSX-S300-K. Both the VSX-S500-K and the VSX-S300-K offer a power output of 100W through 6 channels, opening up the possibility of a 5.1 set-up with a passive sub-woofer in one room, or 3.1 channel output in the main room (front L/R, centre and passive sub-woofer) and an optional stereo output in a second room.

Perfect Sound Calibration

Enjoy the ingenuity of Pioneer's highly celebrated Advanced Multi-Channel Acoustic Calibration (MCACC) with these two new Receivers. Pioneer's MCACC - complete with custom microphone - automatically assess your room's acoustic environment before adjusting the speakers to its optimal sonic performance. In this way, there is no compromise to the audio accuracy as the sound is reproduced exactly the way it is intended to be heard.

Energy Savings in ECO Mode

Compared to regular Receivers, the new range of slim AV Receivers from Pioneer has ultra-low power consumption due to the use of Class D amplification. With additional power saving options, you can reduce by up to an additional 35% in power consumption at a single push of the ECO button on the remote controller. In this case, only the front speakers and subwoofer will remain active while the user continues to enjoy the sound in its optimal quality.

HD Audio Formats Decoding

The new and slim AV Receivers are fully equipped to decode all mainstream HD audio formats, including DTS-HD Master Audio, as well as Dolby TrueHD, empowering you with the versatility you deserve.

Bluetooth Wireless Audio Streaming

Add Pioneer's optional AS-BT200 Bluetooth Adapter to either of the new and slim range of AV Receivers, and you are on your way to wirelessly transfer audio content via Bluetooth from any A2DP Bluetooth-enabled mobile device or personal computer. With Pioneer's exclusive Sound Retriever AIR technology specifically designed to enhance Bluetooth audio transmissions, you can enjoy the highest quality music possible.

For the VSX-S500, the real fun begins when you connect it to a home network, as it supports the playback of music from a PC or media server connected to the same LAN and featuring multimedia server functionality. Other features to complete your music listening experience include Internet radio, front USB input for advanced digital audio connectivity, as well as video scaling up to 1080p (on HDMI), and compatibility with Pioneer's optional wireless LAN converter (AS-WL300).
